Returns/Exchanges

Outback Tents is proud to offer a 30 day return policy. This return policy is dependent on manufacturers requirements. Certain brands do not accept returns and as such we are not able to offer them. 

To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused and in new condition, in the original packaging from the manufacturer. No returns are available for products that show any wear and tear from use or damage from improper use or handling.

Orders cancelled after shipping or 48 hours after ordering, as well as any returns, are subject to a 20% re-stocking fee. The customer is also responsible for any shipping fees to return the product. 

Items with manufacturing defects

Outback Tents and the manufacturers reserve the right to first fix, attempt to fix, and/or offer a replacement part, before taking back an item and refunding it, depending on the type/size/magnitude of the damage/defect.

To start a claim for manufacturing defects:

  • Submit original proof of purchase along with purchase date.
  • The customer must provide digital images showing clearly the manufacturing defect.
  • Returns are not applicable if there is damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, tampering, unreasonable use or normal wear and tear.

In all cases of returns please do not send the product to the manufacturer. First contact Outback Tents and we will ensure the correct returns process is followed in order to make it as painless and quick for the customer as possible. 

Refunds

Once your returned item is received and inspected Outback Tents will send the customer an email notification. This email notification will include that Outback Tents/Manufacturer has received the item, as well as the approval or rejection of the return application. This will depend on a thorough review performed by Outback Tents as well as the manufacturer on any claimed defects.

If the refund is approved it will automatically be processed and applied to the customer's original form of payment, within a satisfactory time period to Outback Tents.

Original shipping costs to the customer will not be refunded. 

Outback Tents and the manufacturers reserve the right to first fix, attempt to fix, and/or offer a replacement part, before taking back an item and refunding it, depending on the type/size/magnitude of the damage/defect.

A partial refund may be granted in cases of:

  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error or manufacturing defects
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

If the refund has been approved and the customer still has not received it please follow these steps:

  • Ensure you are checking the form of payment used during the original purchase.
  • Then contact your credit card company. (If it was used for purchase.)
  • Next contact your bank as there is usually a processing period.
  • If after all of this you still have not received your refund, please contact us at returns@outbacktents.com
Note: Refunds will only be applied to regular priced items. Sale items and coupons are non-refundable. 

Exchanges

If the customer ordered the wrong color or size of a product please contact us at returns@outbacktents.com and we will see if an exchange is possible, some manufacturers do not support exchanges. If an exchange is possible, the customer is responsible for the return shipping of the original product as well as the shipping costs of the new product. A re-stocking fee of 20% also applies.
